Ancient Nemea

Ancient Nemea was reknowned throughout the ancient world for many reasons, one of them being the Nemean Games.

Visit the site of ancient Nemea, see the Temple of Zeus and the well preserved stadium where the Nemean Games took place. The Games were held every 4 years inbetween the Olympic Games and the Panathinaia.

Walk among the ruins or take a guided tour of the vineyards and taste the POP protected Agioritiko wine. Nemea is also noted in history as the place that Hercules slayed the Nemean Lion in mythology as one of his 12 labours set by the King of Mycenae.
