Argos

The city of Argos has an incredible history, starting from the early Bronze Age up to the Greek Revolution and people have been living here since, making it the most continually inhabited city in Europe.

The fortifications above the city of Argos follow the story of the city with evidence of prehistoric settlements on the hill. The castle changed many hands going back and forth from Venetian to Ottomans during the various occupations. See also the agora and the ancient theatre.
