Tolo (also known as Tolon) is a wonderful summer destination attracting tourists from all over the world.
Tolo is a seasoned resort and offers all the amenities that visitors to the area need during their stay, all just a few metres from Nellys Hotel Apartments including supermarkets, bakers, post office, butchers, pharmacies and ATM machines. The biggest and most noticable island of the two, Romvi is a landmark island that has never been built on, except for some walls on some part of the island probably built during the Ottoman occupation. It is uninhabited but a popular destination for a small trip, sunbathe and swim both at the front and the back of the island!
The Koronisi island is one of the jewels of Tolo! The small island, with the tiny chapel of Agioi Apostoloi (Holy Apostles) perched on its top, is situated right in the middle of the bay and is accessible by boat, pedalo or by strong swimmers. The church opens for ceremonies such as baptisms or weddings. At night the island is lit up, a beautiful sight, probably the most photographed spot in Tolo.. it it the perfect view from which to enjoy a drink or a meal, especially in the evening.
Follow the coast from any point in Tolo and you will eventually end up at Tolo harbour, where the beach ends. At the port you will see many local fishing boats moored and if you are lucky and your timing is right then you may meet the fishermaen bringing in their catch.
One day cruises also depart from Tolo port for the islands of Poros, Hydra & Spetses that are close by.
